InterMine and modENCODE

InterMine will be used as a major component of the Data Coordination Centre for the $57m modENCODE project; G. Micklem has been awarded two posts for four years to apply the technology developed in the FlyMine project to the dissemination of data produced as part of the $57m US NIH modENCODE project ( This programme will generate an unprecedented amount of data about functional elements in the genomes of the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster and the nematode Caenorhabditis elegans.
